We Care

About the Area

For us, the Whitsundays is the best region in Australia to enjoy sailing and to visit some of the 74 tropical islands all with magnificent beaches, secluded bays and of course the world famous Whitehaven Beach.

Crossing Whitsunday Passage, you can almost guarantee some good winds - so get ready to hoist the sails!

We feel very privileged to operate from one of the most beautiful places on earth. Jump on board with us and explore it!

Family Business

Grant and Lindsay found Providence V on their honeymoon back in 2003 and their combined family of five kids have grown up learning how to sail on her. In 2013, they bought MiLady in Barcelona. In 2018, they shipped her to Australia. After sailing around the Ionian Island in western Greece and the west coast of Italy, her new home is the Great Barrier Reef.

We care about the environment and the future of the Great Barrier Reef. We offer lunches with minimum wrapping; use recycled paper cups. We offer chilled water on deck rather than selling plastic bottles and we have enviro-friendly toilets. On Milady  we have a desalination unit.

In 2017, we handed back the Tourism Whitsunday Bronze Tourism Award because it was sponsored by Adani, the company who is proposing to build Australia's largest coal mine and the world's largest coal terminal. Surely a complete contradiction for the future of the Great Barrier Reef?

Our Crew

We have an amazing and knowledgeable team who have a strong passion for sailing.

They are all handpicked because they are also passionate about people. That means looking after you the minute you step on board one of our beautiful sailing vessels.

Lindsay (Owner/Management)
She's got it all under control: managing the whole business together with Grant, being a publishing author of several books as well as a caring grandma for Jess' and Steve's little son.
Grant (Skipper/Owner)
Always relaxed and good sailor's story to tell: Grant loves being out on the water on either of their boats, for work or with the whole family.
Jess (Deckhand/Grants Daughter)
Jess grew up learning how to sail Providence and later MiLady around the Greek Islands. To pass on the family's passion, she now brings her son on board whenever possible!
Steve (Skipper)
After finishing his studies in marine biology, Steve has truly worked on all kinds of boats, from marine expeditions to backpacker tours.
Kieran (Skipper)
"All the way from sunny Scotland", as he'd present himself, Kieran chose to swap Scottish storms for the warm Whitsundays about 5 years ago - and it looks like he won't leave.
Andy (Deckhand)
Scotland and boats just go together too well: Andy came to Australia on a working-holiday-visa and just loves it here!
